Coal Based Pellet Activated Carbon
Anthracite or bituminous coal is finely ground, blended with suitable binders and extruded into solid cylindrical pellets ranging from Φ1.5–8 mm. The green extrudates are then carbonised and steam‑activated at high temperature to develop a well‑balanced network of micro‑ and mesopores. This coal‑based pellet activated carbon delivers the highest bulk density across our product portfolio. It features exceptional hardness and low dust generation, forming a stable packed bed with minimal fines breakout during flow, backwashing and handling.

Coal pellet activated carbon applications
Récupération des solvants
Printing, coating, laminating and paint booths. Steam strips the solvent back out, so it can be reused instead of burnt.
VOC abatement
Toluene, xylene, ketones, esters and C5–C9 hydrocarbons in process exhaust, from chemical, plastics and packaging plants.
Petrol vapour recovery
Tank venting, loading terminals and VRU units. Density and hardness matter here, because the bed cycles thousands of times.
Contrôle des odeurs
Rendering, wastewater, compost and chemical plants, where the odour is organic rather than ammonia or sulphide.
Industrial and process gas
Carbon dioxide, hydrogen, nitrogen and compressed air polishing, plus guard beds ahead of downstream catalysis.
Impregnated base
A dense, hard, low-dust pellet is the standard carrier for KOH, NaOH and sulphur impregnation on gas-duty beds.
